Anyone that has ever practiced Yoga, came for a specific reason... or perhaps a multitude of reasons. Usually, we are motivated by health benefits, moving in new ways, creating strength, becoming more flexible. Perhaps we are searching for peace of mind?
Whatever attracted us to Yoga and Meditation was the key to a practice that has so much depth and purpose that we may never have considered.
During this special event, Kelly Scotto will not only introduce you to new levels of Yin Yoga, but will also share her knowledge and gift for telling tales of ancient Deities and lore. Tales that inspire morality and encourage our imagination while engaging in the disciplined practice of holding poses for a sustained period of time. Yin yoga is steeped in the philosophy of patience and challenge. Contrary to quicker paced styles of yoga, such as Vinyasa, Yin eliminates momentum and flow for focus and stillness, while still aligning the body in poses that promote safe flexibility and lengthening of muscles, connective tissue, ligaments, fascia and, even breath rhythm.
